Who is tartshi?
Tashi Singleton, also known as tartshi, is a 24 year old visionary artist devoted to creating unique, conceptual paintings that explore her understanding of life on Earth - both physically and spiritually. The inspiration for her pieces often arises in visions seen before sleep or when listening to music. She combines her imagination with her experiences of sacred visions and messages from the universe to create impactful acrylic paintings and murals. Her vibrant colours and dream-like symbolism reflect the rich tapestry of the human experience and the complexities of identity.
Born and raised in Brisbane, Tartshi loved painting at a young age. As she grew older, she slowly stepped away from art… she did not consider this passion to be a viable career to pursue, and rather studied Science at University of Queensland. A journey of self-love and self-discovery brought her back to art and profoundly influenced her artistic vision. At 21, she packed everything into her car and moved to Melbourne in the name of growth… and to follow her dream of becoming an artist. Since then, she has displayed her paintings at various exhibitions around Melbourne, and has been selected for grants and commissioned pieces. Most recently, she has fallen in love with painting murals for music festivals in Victoria - however acrylic canvases will always hold a special place in her heart.
